I recommend river activities rafting boats on the Shimanto River.
From elementary school students to three-generation families, even ladies in their 60s can enjoy.
First of all, I will show you how it’s done, from a drone and boat from the air, by local cable TV staff.

I tried the boat rafting in the last summer with some friends at the Furusato Exchange Center in Shimanto Town’s Showa.
The middle reaches (basin) of the Shimanto river is not so steep.
The rafting experience was a safe and enjoyable experience for Elementary school students to 60 age people.
When I rode on, there were two elementary school kids, an aunt in her 60s, me in my 50s, an American girl, and five customers, plus a local guide.
There are rugged, sheer rocks, wide riverbanks, white spray, and rushing streams, and deep emerald green areas with a depth of 3 to 4 meters, and many other expressions in the middle Shimanto River basin.
In the rafting course, there is a spot to jump from a large rock, a time to overcome the rapids with everyone working together on oars, a time to talk to the quiet Shimanto River while listening to the birds’ singing, there are places to show off and have fun.
And, you’ll have a local guide to help you.
The first time and scared children do not have to paddle the oars.
Be sure to hold the rope and keep your feet between the boat’s legs to avoid being thrown overboard.
But if you fall off the boat?
Don’t panic and follow the guide’s advice.
You are wearing a helmet and life jacket well, so you will be fine.
I’m sure that you enjoy the nature of the Shimanto River, breathing in the sounds of river rapids, birdsong, green mountains, high skies, and clear air.
Canoes and SUPs (standing up paddle boards), a slightly larger version of the surfboard, are available in the lower reaches of Nishi Tosa, where you can float down the river and even have a coffee and a snack on them.

In Kochi Prefecture, you can enjoy a variety of energetic activities in the mountains, rivers, and sea.
Surrounded by pleasant sunshine and the scent of the river, sometimes you can chase fish and listen to birdsong, and enjoy nature to the fullest.
Enjoy Kochi,enjoy Shikoku!
